Terms of Service
Last updated: August 12, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Maxint Inc. ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") govern your use of our website located at https://maxint.com, our desktop and mobile applications, APIs, and associated services (together or individually referred to as the "Service") operated by Maxint Inc.
Our Privacy Policy also governs your use of our Service and explains how we collect, safeguard, and disclose information that results from your use of our Service. Your agreement with us includes these Terms and our Privacy Policy ("Agreements"). You acknowledge that you have read and understood the Agreements, and agree to be bound by them.
2. Nature of the Service and Non-Fiduciary Disclaimer
Maxint provides financial organization, bookkeeping, reporting, and analytical software. Maxint is a financial operating system and technology platform, not a registered investment advisor, certified public accountant (CPA), tax advisory firm, or broker-dealer.
No Financial, Legal, or Tax Advice: All calculations, insights, reports, tax jurisdiction auto-detections, and automated suggestions generated by the Service—including those produced by Finsight—are provided strictly for informational and administrative convenience. They do not constitute certified tax, accounting, legal, or investment advice. You remain solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of your financial statements, general ledger entries, and tax filings before submitting them to tax authorities or relying on them for fiduciary decisions.
3. Artificial Intelligence and Finsight Services
The Service incorporates artificial intelligence features, including conversational analysis, speech recognition, text-to-speech synthesis, automated document recognition, and intelligent categorization (collectively, "Finsight").
- Computational Assistance: Finsight generates summaries and analytical projections based on your ledger data, documents, and prompts. While we strive for precision, outputs may occasionally contain errors, approximations, or incomplete interpretations. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming all AI-generated ledger entries, accounts payable drafts, and categorization rules.
- Custom Language Models and Third-Party Endpoints: Maxint allows you to connect external artificial intelligence providers and custom model endpoints. When using your own API credentials or third-party endpoints, you agree to comply with the terms of service and acceptable use policies of the respective providers. Maxint is not liable for the availability, latency, or outputs generated by third-party model endpoints.
- Appropriate Use: You agree not to use Finsight to generate abusive, unlawful, or fraudulent financial documentation, or to circumvent legal accounting standards.
4. Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Integrations
Maxint provides integration capabilities through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), OAuth consent flows, and secure APIs, allowing external authorized software and autonomous agents to interact with your workspace.
- You are solely responsible for granting, managing, and revoking tokens or permissions issued to external agents and third-party MCP clients.
- Maxint is not responsible for actions, data alterations, or transaction creations executed by third-party services that you have explicitly authorized through MCP or API tokens.
5. Document Ingestion, Scanning, and Accounts Payable
When you upload invoices, receipts, or PDF statements for optical character recognition (OCR), server-side decryption, or accounts payable draft generation, you represent that you have the legal right and authorization to possess and process such documents.
You acknowledge that automated document parsing is an assist tool. You are required to review extracted totals, tax rates, vendor names, and posting accounts prior to committing drafts to your ledger.
6. User Accounts, Authentication, and Passkeys
When you create an account, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and devices used to access the Service.
Passkey Authentication: Maxint supports FIDO2 / WebAuthn passkey authentication. When you register a passkey, cryptographic credentials are tied to your specific physical device or cloud keychain. You are responsible for maintaining control of authorized devices and promptly revoking access for any lost or compromised hardware through your account security dashboard.
7. Subscriptions, Payments, and Invoicing
Certain features, processing quotas, and add-ons are offered on a subscription or consumable basis.
- Billing and Renewals: Paid subscriptions renew automatically on a recurring basis according to your selected billing interval until canceled. Payments are processed through authorized payment gateways (including GoCardless and our payment partners).
- Customer Invoicing: If you use Maxint to issue invoices or collect payments from your customers via bank debit or third-party payment rails, you are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your invoices and fulfilling your agreements with your customers.
- Cancellation: You may cancel subscriptions or adjust consumable add-ons at any time through your billing settings. Cancellations take effect at the conclusion of the current billing cycle.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding Content provided by users), features, algorithms, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Maxint Inc. and its licensors. Our trademarks, logos, and service marks may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Maxint Inc.
9. Prohibited Uses
You may use the Service only for lawful business and personal financial management purposes. You agree not to use the Service:
- In any manner that violates applicable national, state, or international laws or financial regulations.
- To engage in money laundering, fraudulent invoicing, tax evasion, or unauthorized financial transactions.
- To attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or compromise the security of our application, OCR pipelines, or AI infrastructure.
- To transmit malicious code, viruses, or automated scraping bots that degrade Service performance.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of data parsing discrepancies.
11. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Maxint Inc., nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, tax penalties, inaccurate tax filings, business interruption, loss of data, or other intangible losses resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
